Connecting Two Computers at Home to Broadband?

I have a problem. After just investing in a new Home Broadband Connection I need to make sure that where I go from here delivers exactly what I need. I am looking for reliable connectivity for home computing with a small amount of business uploading and downloading. I use the Internet mainly for work and sometimes I upload large files from my Home Computer to my server at work. In addition to this I have a mini netwrk at home and I want to connect both to the internet via broadband.

The best solution for Broadband by far is Lease line Technology

What hardware do I need, and how do I hook two computers to my broadband at home?

The broadband is registered to another computer. Both computers are vista. When i plug in the cable it won’t work. Please help i really don’t want to have to pay heaps to have a professional come in the laptop was expensive enough as it is!

I just set up my SMC home broadband wireless networking on to my desktop with Window Me Millennium Edition. And I try using my laptop to go in to the network and it work, but it didn’t ask for the passwork. Why? That mean other people can go on to my network too, right? So, please help to protect my network. 911

I’m a student from Northern Ireland and two friends and myself are moving into a house this week. We would like to install wireless broadband to use our laptops in the house and Virgin Media seem to do a good deal of £10 a month for 6 months with £17 from then on.

It includes a modem and it has speed of up to 2mb. Is this worth it?

Even for dial up i don’t qualify for the dsl options. I was going with a company called Hugh’s net through direct but found alot of bad reviews for it such as there is a cap. i play online games such as world of warcraft and download a good bit.. can someone give me a suggestion that would satisfy those needs… thank you

Separate Wireless Router and Broadband Modem or All in One Wireless Modem/Router?

I have recently had broadband installed in my flat and want to install a wireless network. When it was installed I was given a free (VD24) broadband modem which looks very basic with out any features. I am wondering if it is better to get an all in one router and modem or buy an additional wireless router. Also if I do have a separate wireless router and a modem will the download speeds be slower as it is passing through two units? At present I can get about 8MB per second download when using the cable to the modem. Thanks for any advice.

is 8mb Next Gen broadband from eircom good for gaming such as black ops or mw3?also its my first time getting a phoneline so how do i know if it has been activated?
Btw:i orderd eircom 2 days ago and havnt recieved my router yet but is there any chance it can be activated that fast…..and if it is how do i no it is active?
